Richard Wise is a freelance trombonist and educator based in the LA area. He currently works as a brass coach at Workman High School and performs with various groups around LA.

He received his degree in Commercial Trombone Performance in 2024 from Azusa Pacific University. During his time there he studied with Scott Whitfield, David Beatty, and Dr. Beth Mitchell. He has worked with the APU Jazz Band, APU Wind Enemble, APU Symphony, Los Angelas Brass Alliance, Citrus College’s Blue Note Orchestra, as well as perform with various local bands and wind ensembles. He has also held a position as a publishing intern at Adarga Entertainment Group.
