Wellington Lima, also known as Índio, is a Brazilian trumpet player, music educator, and audiovisual producer based in Los Angeles, California. Holding both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Trumpet Performance from the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), his career combines musical excellence with technological innovation.

For eight years, he served as principal trumpet of the João Pessoa Symphony Orchestra in Brazil, while also collaborating with renowned Brazilian popular music artists such as Maestro Spok, Silvério Pessoa, and Maestro Duda. In the United States, he completed the Artist Certificate Program at Azusa Pacific University under the guidance of David Washburn, performing as principal trumpet of the APU Symphony Orchestra and joining ensembles such as the Los Angeles Brass Alliance and the California Young Artist Symphony.

Alongside his performance career, Wellington develops professional work in audio and video production, with a strong emphasis on livestreaming and high-quality live broadcast projects. His expertise bridges performance, recording, and audiovisual direction, delivering creative solutions for musicians, orchestras, institutions, and content creators seeking to expand their digital presence.

He has recorded at major Hollywood studios including Warner Bros., Sony Pictures, and Columbia Pictures, with projects contracted by Netflix. Wellington has also produced albums, documentaries, and music videos, in addition to creating online educational content through his channel Indiotrumpet LAB, which connects music education with digital media.

With experience that spans concert halls, studios, and virtual platforms, Wellington believes that audiovisual media — especially livestream production — is an essential tool to democratize access to music and amplify artistic reach on a global scale.
